Directional Probe Alert Systems

Our Alert System comprises both a Receiver and a Probe Sensor. You have the choice of two kit options, or you can opt to purchase the Probe Sensors separately to augment an existing kit or receiver setup.

Alert Receiver Plus - notifies you on this receiver and allows you to add additional accessories to your kit, such as sirens, speakers, bells or security lights.

Alert Receiver - notifies you only on this Receiver.

How it works

The Directional Probe Sensor is set up on the driveway or in any area you want to monitor. The Directional Probe sensor has a detection range of 3 metres either side of it. The Directional Probe Sensor is designed to detect anything metallic, so it will ignore people and animals and will not be triggered by moving trees or shrubs. The Directional Probe Sensor is normally buried under the drive (approx. 100 mm) and has a 15 metre cable connected to the Transmitter box which is mounted on a post or tree.

Upon being activated, the Transmitter will send a signal back to your receiver unit, which plays a tone to alert you – so is usually set up in your house, shed, office etc. The Directional Probe can differentiate between vehicles entering or leaving your property and can give different tones in the house to alert you to either a car coming or going.

The kit has a range of 1.6km (1.0 mile) between the probe and the receiver.

The Probe (on the driveway) is powered by batteries - 3 x CR123 Batteries

Alert Receiver / Alert Receiver Plus

The Alert Receiver (or Alert Receiver Plus) (in the house) is powered by a plug pack, which plugs into a wall socket (this is included in the kit).
You can program your Alert Receiver (or Alert Receiver Plus) to play one of 16 tunes.
If you have more than one Alert Sensor connected to your receiver, you can program your receiver to play a different sound for each Alert Sensor to help you identify which entranceway someone has entered by.
The Alert Receiver Plus has two relay outputs, for the connection of other devices. .Your Alert Receiver Plus has four different volume levels.

Additional Accessories

All of our Alert Systems can be integrated with the other Alert products in our range, meaning you can customise your Alert solution with any of the following options:

Have additional entranceways monitored and alerting to the same receiver (differentiating the different entrance points by different tones on your receivers)
Have multiple receiving units so that you can be alerted at different points on your property
Have a mixture of sensor types (ie Beams on a fenceline, a PIR on a driveway or path, a probe alert system on a road or accessway), and all alerting to the same receiver.
